UPCOMING HAITI TRIP
missionsA small team is scheduled to return to Haiti Monday, April 12 - Friday, April 23.  This trip will be spent checking on the progress of the work for food programs, and the development of the agricultural co-ops that were started on the last trip.  Chris Johnson will also be teaching a Song of Songs class for the leaders in Kafu Ojé.  Please continue to pray for the people of Haiti, Pastor Charité and the other pastors as this team.

HAITI TRIP 02/10
missionsThe team arrived safely in Port-au-Prince as scheduled, but unfortunately, 3 of the bags did not make it with them.  After arrival in Dessalines, they headed out to Kafu Ojé for a funeral.  The team had several opportunities to share in chapel at the hospital and high school in Dessalines, and speak on two radio stations.  They also were able to meet with the mayor of Dessalines to discuss the work for food program.  Visiting Pastor Charité's properties was exciting as they began discussing plans for a new home for the Noel family and were able to witness the harvesting of onions in his fields.  They enjoyed times of fellowship with the Peavys, the Snyders and the Noel family.  In meeting with the League of Leaders both in Dessaline and in Kafu Ojé, they were able to offer encouragement to the pastors and pray for those plagued by fear.  They held a service with a focus on emotional and physical healing which started with Pastor Charité receiving healing which built the faith in the room as he and others testified.  The last Sunday morning, the whole team participated in a tag-team preaching time as they worked in unity led by the Spirit and enjoyed the sweetest time of worship during the service in Kafu Ojé that night.  The team also participated in meetings with the Free Methodist Superintendents for several days which was an encouragement to Pastor Charité.  The last day in Haiti was spent in Port au Prince recovering lost luggage and touring the devastated downtown district.  While some aspects of the trip were difficult, we believe we were able to accomplish all that the Lord sent us to do.
